ABOUT ME

My passion for rehabilitation started when I tore my anterior cruciate ligament when skiing, aged 16. After undergoing surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation process, this ignited my love for Sports Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy.

Having first studied Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation at the University of the West of England in Bristol, I went on to work for the British Army as an Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor working with soldiers returning from injury to full fitness in preparation for their military duties. Working closely with Physiotherapists in this role, it inspired me to return to university to study for my MSc in Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) at The University of Southampton.

Since qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2016, I started my junior rotations in Southampton before relocating to South Wales and continuing to gain valuable NHS experience. With my background in Sports Rehabilitation, I always had an interest in musculoskeletal conditions and specialised as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in 2018.

My interest in Women's Health started in 2019 when I was offered an opportunity to work in Pelvic Health for six months whilst working for Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. Since then, I haven't looked back, and have been working part time in Women's Health ever since!

I find working with people and helping them to return to their previous levels of function extremely rewarding, whether it is returning to gardening following a flare up of back pain or returning to sport following an injury.

With an increased awareness of Women’s Health in the media, I am passionate about supporting women to take control of the symptoms that are affecting their day to day lives. In 2024, I completed The Mummy MOT® training and am proud to offer this service within my clinic. My previous experience working in Exercise Rehabilitation also allows me to help patients return to their sporting activities.

I currently work both in the private sector and for the NHS. I continue to ensure that I stay up-to-date with current research and training by attending courses and self-study.

Please reach out if you have any questions and I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals, whatever they may be!
